I recently finished writing a book about the role of rhetoric in our everyday lives. Whether it is a conversation in a cafe, a rant in a pub, or a great speech in political chamber, you are bound to find rhetoric sneaking around backstage pulling strings, dimming lights and occasionally opening a trap door.

In my book, I work through the highs and lows of rhetoric exploring the fun and playful side as well as the more sinister and dangerous side – the side that led to its reputation as the mafia of linguistics.

The book is due to be released on September 1st, but is currently available for preorder on the Canbury Press website.
